Sungrow SBR HV rebate for each size
A stack can run from 2 modules (6.4 kWh) up to 8 modules (25.6 kWh), with each SBR module adding 3.2 kWh. Because the federal discount is based on usable kWh, an install by 31 December 2026 gives $1,720 for the SBR064 (2 modules) and $5,680 for the SBR256 (8 modules).
| Battery | Certificates | Federal discount | From January 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|
| SBR064 (2 modules) (6.4 kWh) | 43 | $1,720 | $1,440 |
| SBR096 (3 modules) (9.6 kWh) | 65 | $2,600 | $2,160 |
| SBR128 (4 modules) (12.8 kWh) | 87 | $3,480 | $2,880 |
| SBR160 (5 modules) (16 kWh) | 103 | $4,120 | $3,440 |
| SBR192 (6 modules) (19.2 kWh) | 116 | $4,640 | $3,880 |

| SBR256 (8 modules) (25.6 kWh) | 142 | $5,680 | $4,760 |
The SBR is listed by Sungrow as up to 100% usable, so the rebate counts the module total as the usable size. Details from the Sungrow product page.
Does the Sungrow SBR HV qualify for the rebate?
To qualify, it has to be a model the Clean Energy Council has approved, connected to solar, and fitted by an installer accredited with Solar Accreditation Australia. Your installer makes sure your exact model and inverter are on that list when they quote. What it is: lithium iron phosphate in stackable 3.2 kWh modules.
